01 The Experience
A gala opens once. Whatever happens in the first four minutes sets the register for everything that follows — the remarks, the awards, the room's willingness to feel something. “Home” is the right song for that job, and Karen Poole is the right voice for it.
What this proposal adds is the orchestra behind her — not a backing track, and not a rented ensemble reading a stock chart. The arrangement is written for this night by Harvey Cummings II and conducted live, scored for players chosen to carry this particular song in this particular room.
