Building a premium gaming and entertainment studio by pairing production credibility with hard-to-get distribution access — cinema screens, sports networks and fan communities most studios can't reach directly.
By 2019, gaming culture had outgrown the channels built to reach it. Trailers and branded content were being produced at a high bar, but distribution was fragmented — streaming platforms, social video, cinema advertising and sports networks each required separate relationships, formats and buy-in. A studio that could only produce, without a way into those channels, was competing on craft alone in a market where reach mattered just as much.
Dante Simpson's read, drawn from earlier stops in fashion and music where brand and distribution were similarly split, was that the winning studio wouldn't be the best production house — it would be the one that could combine production with genuine distribution access.
Rather than building a single vertically integrated studio, ESPAT TV assembled a creative collective — production and animation partners including Ridley Scott Creative Group, Petrol, PRG, Zoic and Movers & Shakers — and then paired that creative bench with distribution partners covering the channels gaming brands actually needed:
ESPAT TV is a strong producer of gaming and entertainment content across multiple distribution channels.
Adrian Montgomery, CEO, Enthusiast Gaming — April 2021April 2021 — Enthusiast Gaming. An integrated content partnership paired ESPAT's production with Enthusiast Gaming's fan-community distribution across streaming and social video, targeting GenZ and Millennial gaming audiences directly.
November 2021 — Screenvision Media. A partnership to produce and distribute gaming content — primarily AAA game trailers — across cinema and sports out-of-home advertising networks, connecting game marketing to theatrical and venue-based media in a way few competitors had access to.
May 2022 — Pod Digital Media. Pod Digital Media secured advertising rights tied to ESPAT TV, extending the studio's commercial reach into television and brand-integrated content.
Three years of partnership-building gave ESPAT TV something a pure production house couldn't buy quickly: standing distribution relationships across the channels gaming brands actually need — fan-community streaming and social video, cinema and sports out-of-home advertising, and television. That combination is the core of ESPAT's commercial model today.
Public and promotional materials describe ESPAT as the country's top producer of video-game trailers, holder of gaming-ad rights across roughly 95% of U.S. movie screens, the first Black-owned studio to produce a Super Bowl broadcast, a contributor to franchises including Halo, Call of Duty, Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto, and a partner on NFL animated simulcasts for ESPN. Dante's own social channels have also teased a "Call of Duty: The Movie" project as coming soon.
The newest addition: Netflix's "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" special (Aug 27, 2026) was a genuine cultural moment — a 35% hour-over-hour spike in Netflix's U.S. mobile viewership, a 125% jump in web traffic, and 1.8 million concurrent Twitch viewers, all independently reported by Forbes and GamesBeat via Sensor Tower data. Dante has credited ESPAT with producing the special. The event and its numbers are real; ESPAT's specific production credit is not yet confirmed by Netflix, Rockstar Games, or trade press.
None of these are independently verified against trade reporting, studio credits, or audited figures — they originate from interviews, social posts and promotional materials.
